- Insert copyright notice in paper:
The appropriate copyright clearance code notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper according to the
guidelines set forth in the Cataloging/Copyright Instructions for an IEEE Conference Proceeding. Detailed instructions can be found here.
- For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
- For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-5090-5356-8/17/$31.00 ©2017 Crown

For latex: The following latex commands can be used to insert the IEEE copyright notice (which is listed in the last bullet above) in your paper. Add these (three lines below) before the "\maketitle" command.

For other text editors: The Copyright Clearance Code must appear left-aligned, at the bottom of the 1st Column of 1st page ONLY, of your manuscript.
- Submit the E-Copyright information in EDAS: Click on the link for electronic copyright next to your paper and fill out the information requested and submit the form. This step is mandatory
for submission of the paper to IEEE for inclusion in IEEE Xplore. No other copyright form needs to be submitted besides this eCopyright form. Link in EDAS is active.
- Check paper format using IEEE PDF eXpress : Before final submission all the paper should be checked using IEEE PDF eXpress Plus. Only verified papers are acceptable for final inclusion in the proceedings.

Before Creating a PDF
- Add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document.
- Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
Creating your PDF eXpress Account
- Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress TM site.
- First-time users should do the following:
- Select the New Users - Click Here link.
- Enter the following:
- 39899X for the Conference ID
- your email address
- a password
- Continue to enter information as prompted.
An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.
Contacting PDF eXpress Support
- Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress.
- If you do not find an answer in the Find Answers tab, go to the Ask A Question tab.
- Your question will be forwarded to IEEE PDF Support and answered within 3 business days.
- Submit the final manuscript in EDAS.
- Invited papers also should satisfy these requirements.
Please note that your paper will be included in the program and the proceedings only if
- It meets the formatting requirements and the submitted pdf file is IEEE pdf express certified.
- At least one author is registered with full registration.
- The title/authors in the submitted pdf file match with the EDAS records of the paper.
- The copyright form is submitted.
