I, C.R. Venkatesh, currently a research scholar in IITM under Prof. Giridhar.

Background

I was with SAMEER-CEM as Scientist from 1998 to 2012, where I involved in various research and development activities in the following domain, Base-band Signal processing, architectural design for wireless radios, evaluation and integration of various modules of wireless tranceivers and design and development of control system for high voltage electronics. Involved in research activity where active and passive electronic components are embedded in PCB towards miniaturization of electronic modules. I joined with IITM and involved in various project activities in implementing various signal processing algorithms in LTE-Testbed. My research interest are in signal processing for communications, control system for high voltage electronics and system level architecture for both commercial and tactical wireless systems. I received B.Sc (Physics) from Sourashtra College, Madurai in 1995, B.Tech in Electronics at Madras Institute of Technology in 1998 and M.S from IIT Madras in 2008.

Current Activities

  • 1.Custom air interfaces for different scenarios like Low mobility terrestrial tactical networks, High mobility networks with ground to air and air to ground, supporting both point to point, point to multipoint and multipoint to point links.
  • 2.Cellular networks with non-orthogonal spectrum sharing to improve both coverage and system level throughputs.
  • 3.Custom build terrestrial network for space surveillance in both low and high altitude with state of the art technology
  • 4.Designing resilience cellular network to handle both natural and man made calamities
