Namaste!
I'm an M.S. Research Scholar in the Communications & Signal Processing group (EE1) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras, working under the guidance of Prof. K. Giridhar.

Background

Being born and brought up in the city of Dreams, Mumbai has made me an avid dreamer! Fascinated by the wonders of Wireless Communication, I ended up completing B.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) in 2015 from Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. During my undergraduate years, I did a few projects listed below:
  • Polargraph Drawing Machine
This was a robotic drawing machine that made use of a dual-polar coordinates system to plot images from the computer on paper using marker pens.
  • Audio mixing on MATLAB and transmission through laser
This was a small but useful optical modem that enables the user to communicate wirelessly with any device in direct line of sight of the laser.
  • Seed Sowing Robot
This was basically a cost-efficient and compact robot implemented to accomplish the task of seed sowing with excellent accuracy and in the least amount of time and was part of the e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC), an annual competition organized by IITB, 2013.

For my final year undergraduate project, I developed an LTE-L1 Simulator using MATLAB Simulink. It was a PHY layer model that helps the user to simulate an LTE phone call and observe the effect of noise due to varying channel characteristics without actually performing the operation at the hardware level.

After finishing my under graduation, I worked as an Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, Mumbai, from Feb to Dec 2016, wherein I developed state-of-the-art dynamic HTML web applications using the Spring MVC framework and Angular JS technologies.

Research

  • Wireless & Cellular Communication
    • I am working to improve the uplink throughput at the eNodeB by combining LLRs for Shared Spectrum Level 1 Co-operation.
    • I have worked on a few timing and frequency synchronization approaches in noise and interference-limited systems.
  • Broadcast & Multicast Multimedia Transmission in Cellular Environment
    • I aim to enhance the QoE of a UE who is part of a Multicast reception group without compromising on the spectral efficiency by introducing resource planning aspects in the modeled design.

Extra-curricular Activities

  • Singing
  • Sketching
  • Sports (Badminton, Basketball)
