Hi!!!
I am Sruti.S, direct Ph.D., Scholar under Prof. K. Giridhar. I received the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) in May 2020. I received the Women Leading IITM (WLI) award for the year 2023.
Research Interests:
Signal Processing in Wireless Communications and RADARCurrent Research:
I am currently working in the field of RADAR exploring the prospectives of Distributed RADAR and the different signal processing motives possible in the same. I am working on localization problems like user localization with communication signals and target localization in various scenarios. I am also working on system analysis of Orthogonal Time Frequency and Space (OTFS) Modulation and its comparison with pre-coded MC-CDMA, one of its good contenders. I am also working on developing OTFS-based multistatic ComRad system. My works inlude:
- Data Association and Tracking Algorithm of Multiple Targets in the Multistatic RADAR System
- Analysis of OTFS Scheme and Comparison with Pre-coded MC-CDMA
- Single Target Localization in a Multistatic RADAR System with Ground-based Towers
- Designing of Waveform and Algorithm to Detect Multiple Targets with Large Variation in Received SNR
- Indoor User Localization with Outdoor Cell Towers
- Target Identification with the Reflected Signals in a Multistatic RADAR System
- Multistatic Radar Cross-Section (RCS) Imaging of Extended Targets
- OTFS-based Multistatic ComRad System
- Joint Association and Localization of Multiple Targets in Multistatic OTFS-Based Radar System

Background:
I did my B.E.ECE in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. In my undergraduation, I had worked on building a prototype of a low cost wearable health monitoring system which was funded by Technovater Funding, PSG STEPS and Student Research Council. I had worked on building a prototype of a Smart Bin which won the First Place in Bosch DNA Challenge organised by Robert Bosch in association with Maker Village,Kochi. I had also worked on FPGA implementation of a vending machine. Apart from technical stuff, I was the Secretary of the IEEE Students Chapter 12951 and the Co-Secretary of ECE Association of PSG Tech during 2017-18. In my internship in the Computer Vision team of Robert Bosch, Bangalore in my final year, I had worked on Pose Estimation problems, Generative Adversarial Networks and had developed a 3D Annotation tool for labelling 3D objects.Links:
