Title: Probing photon-molecule interaction with an optical fiber Bragg grating technique

Abstract :

Light-matter interactions play an instrumental role in laser, spectroscopy, sensing, microscopy, and photodetection. Understanding the associated phenomena of light-matter interaction, such as photon absorption, photon emission, and electronic transitions, is crucial for developing novel technological applications. Here, we propose a method of probing quantum processes of photon-molecule interactions using the optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technique. Our study demonstrates that the FBG technique can probe the quantum transitions occurring in photoexcited molecules through the non-radiative thermal relaxation process. The results obtained with this FBG-based technique demonstrate its ability to provide insight into the quantum phenomena of light-matter interaction, indicating its potential for spectroscopy, biosensing, and quantum applications.
