Prerequisites

Course : E3202 Signals and systems(continuous and discrete time systems)
Knowledge of :

Laplace transforms, linear differential equations, frequency and time domain analysis of linear circuits(RC, RL, RLC, with dependent sources), ideal op-amp behavior, op amp nonidealities, feedback systems, loop gain, poles, zeros, and stability criteria.

Course contents

This course deals with the synthesis and design of continuous-time and discrete-time(switched-capacitor) filters with emphasis on integrated circuit realizations. Passive, gm-C, and opamp-RC realizations of continuous-time filters with arbitrary rational transfer functions and op-amp switched capacitor filters, their nonidealities, and methods of automatic tuning to obtain constant filter parameters in the face of varying component values will be discussed.
